The Crescenta Valley High School varsity baseball team was shut out at Ocean View High in Huntington Beach, 10-0, in its CIF-Southern Section Division II first-round playoff game last Friday.
Ryan Ivanyi and Dashiell Schultz each recorded a base hit while Charlie Carafotes walked once.
The Falcons finished the campaign as the Pacific League runner-up with a 12-2 record (20-7 overall).
