Falcons Lose Wildcard Game at Kennedy, 7-4

The Crescenta Valley High School girls’ varsity softball team lost at Kennedy High in La Palma, 7-4, in its CIF-Southern Section Division III wildcard game on Tuesday.
Sophomore Mila Reddy went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, two RBIs and two runs while junior Haley Krohn went 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBIs and a run. Senior Lily Hinkle went 2-for-4 with a run, sophomores Hannah Wyroski and Jasmine Hernandez each had a base hit, and sophomore Carley Mulcahey finished with four strikeouts over 4.2 innings in the circle.
The Falcons lost their regular season finale at Arcadia, 17-5, in a league game last Thursday.
Junior Jaiden went Sabelis went 2-for-4, Reddy registered a double and two RBIs, and Mulcahey tallied a double and an RBI. Hinkle, who had a hit, an RBI and a run, finished with two strikeouts over 5.1 innings in the circle while Ochoa recorded a hit and a run. Krohn scored once and stole a base, sophomore Alexa Johnson and Hernandez each scored once, and Wyroski walked once.
CVHS previously lost a league game at Arcadia, 7-0. Reddy produced a double and a walk, Johnson tallied a base hit and Mulcahey had three strikeouts over six innings in the circle.
The Falcons finished the campaign tied for third place in the Pacific League with a 5-5 record (13-12 overall).
