Falcons End Regular Season on Winning Streak

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team ended the regular season on an eight-game win streak after crushing visiting Royal High of Simi Valley, 18-7, in a Pacific League contest on Tuesday.
Sophomore Sophia Lima racked up seven goals and two assists, sophomore Camden Ballard registered four goals and one assist, and senior Brianne Ballard tallied three goals and four assists. Senior captain Sophia Kachkeran recorded two goals and one assist, senior Shari Park finished with two goals and one assist, and senior captain Ashlyn Burton was credited with an assist.
The Falcons defeated host Glendale, 14-3, in a league game last Friday as Camden Ballard recorded five goals and one assist. Brianne Ballard tallied two goals and five assists, Lima produced three goals and three assists, and Park registered two goals with one assist. Kachkeran had one goal and one assist, Burton scored once and sophomore Kaylani Parker was credited with an assist.
CVHS previously picked up a 19-5 league victory at Simi Valley as Lima racked up seven goals and one assist. Camden Ballard registered four goals and one assist while Park tallied three goals and one assist. Brianne Ballard produced two goals and five assists while Parker scored two goals. Kachkeran scored once while junior Audrey Chung, sophomore Kaily Kim and Burton each had one assist.
The Falcons finished the campaign as undefeated league champions with a 4-0 record (15-5 overall) as the CIF-Southern Section playoff brackets will be released today at 11 a.m.

Glendale High School’s Victoria Meneses and the Nitros lost to Crescenta Valley High in a Pacific League game.

GLENDALE

The Nitros lost to visiting Crescenta Valley, 14-3, in a Pacific League game last Friday. Individual statistics were not reported to the Glendale News-Press. Glendale (6-11 overall, 1-2 in league) recently concluded the regular season by hosting Simi Valley; the game ended after the Glendale News-Press’ deadline and will be included in next week’s issue.
