Pacific Park Library encourages the community to come out for its family-friendly Earth Day Fair on
Saturday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to
3 p.m. The library is located at 501 S. Pacific Ave.
The fair will have activities for all ages, sustainable local vendors, music, interactive workshops and food trucks. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about local initiatives and how to get involved in making a difference in climate change.
The Earth Day Fair schedule:
- 11:10 a.m. — Land acknowledgment and welcome
- 11:30 a.m. — “Earth Tales” by We Tell Stories
- A live storytelling performance featuring stories that explore the relationship between earth mother and her children. Presented in partnership with the Music Center. (Children in grades K–5)
- 12:30 p.m. — “Solar Power 101”
- An introduction to the history of solar power presented by Solar Schoolhouse
- 12:30 p.m. — “Sustainability Story Time”
- Fun stories about the Earth presented by Glendale library staff
- 1 p.m. — “Cool Critters Show” by Mobile Zoo of California
- An educational session on furry, feathered and scaly critters in a fun fact-filled show
- 1:30 p.m. — “Sustainability Story Time” (Spanish)
- Stories about the Earth presented by Glendale library staff
- 2:15 p.m. — “Composting Demonstration” (Spanish)
- A session on learning how to compost at home in a presentation by Go 2 Zero
- 2:30 p.m. — “Sustainability Story Time” (Armenian)
- Stories about the Earth presented by Glendale Library staff
- 2:40 p.m. — “Composting Demonstration” (Spanish)
- A session on learning how to compost at home in a presentation by Go 2 Zero
