Falcons Beat La Cañada, Blank Valencia, 19-0

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team shut out host Valencia, 19-0, in a nonleague game on Monday.
Senior captain Brianne Ballard racked up four goals and four assists while sophomore Camden Ballard registered a game-high five goals. Sophomore Sophia Lima tallied three goals and two assists while senior Shari Park finished with two goals and three assists. Senior captain Ashlyn Burton scored a pair of goals, senior captain Sophia Kachkeran produced one goal and one assist, and sophomore Kaily Kim recorded one goal and one assist. Chung was credited with one assist.
The Falcons previously routed visiting La Cañada in a Pacific League game, 19-1, as Brianne Ballard registered six assists and one goal. Camden Ballard recorded three goals and two assists while Lima and Park each tallied three goals and one assist. Burton finished with two goals and one assist, sophomore Kaylani Parker scored two goals, and Kim produced one goal and one assist. Junior Chloe Schroeder, Kachkeran, Chung and Yi each scored once while senior captain Kate Fox collected one assist.
First-place CVHS (12-5 overall, 1-0 in league) will host Royal High of Simi Valley for its regular-season finale on Tuesday, April 25, at 3:30 p.m. The CIF-Southern Section playoff brackets will be released on Saturday, April 29, at 11 a.m.

Glendale High School’s Jet Brown and the Nitros will host Simi Valley for their regular-season finale on Monday, April 24, at 4 p.m


GLENDALE

The Nitros lost at Royal High in Simi Valley, 19-11, in a Pacific League game last Friday. Individual statistics were not reported to the Glendale News-Press by the Glendale coaching staff.
Third-place Glendale (6-10 overall, 1-1 in league) will host Simi Valley for its regular-season finale on Monday, April 24,
at 4 p.m. The CIF-Southern Section playoff brackets will be released on Saturday, April 29, at 11 a.m.
