Crescenta Valley High School recently sent athletes to compete at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational, highlighted by Parker Simmons’ career-setting performance.
Simmons competed in the seeded boys’ 3,200 meters and finished sixth overall with a lifetime best time of 8:53.77. It is the second-fastest time recorded by a CV athlete; Don Moses set the record with an 8:49 time in 1976.
Senior Harrison Connors (9:22.42) was 19th in the 3,200 meters, juniors Ryan Becker, Sebastian Leufroy, Lachlan Blunt and Eddie Sion placed 20th in the boys’ distance medley race with a 10:41.09 time, and senior Harrison Connors, junior Josh Chambers, Becker and Sion finished 18th in the 4×1,760 yard relay with a 18:38.81 time.
