CV Sheriff’s Station Offers Catalytic Converter Etching

First published in the Feb. 11 print issue of the Glendale News-Press.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station will be hosting a catalytic converter etching event at the Highlands Church at 4441 La Crescenta Ave., La Crescenta, 91214, on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Vehicles should enter the parking lot off Community Avenue and exit on Mary Street.
The event is free to the public. Vehicles will be etched on a first-come first-served basis.
The station aims to etch as many Toyota Prius catalytic converters as possible, since they are a primary target for thieves. Converters on large trucks and recreation vehicles cannot be etched because they are larger and heavier than the equipment can accommodate.
For questions about this event, please contact Detective Fletcher at (818) 236-4010.
