Adventist Health Glendale recently announced that it is one of “America’s 250 Best Hospitals for 2023,” according to new research released by Healthgrades, the leading marketplace connecting doctors and patients.
This achievement puts Adventist Health Glendale in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance across the most common conditions and procedures. This is the second consecutive year Adventist Health Glendale is among “America’s Best.”
“Adventist Health Glendale remains dedicated in providing world-class care to Glendale and its surrounding communities,” said President Alice Issai of Adventist Health Glendale. “This recognition, along with our 16 consecutive A grades from the Leapfrog Group, our three consecutive 5-star ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and our continual ranking among the top hospitals in California by U.S. News & World Report validates the expertise delivered safely to thousands of patients each year.”
Healthgrades evaluated patient mortality and complication rates for 31 of the most common conditions and procedures at nearly 4,500 hospitals across the country to identify the top-performing hospitals.
This year’s analysis revealed significant variation between “America’s Best 250 Hospitals” and hospitals that did not receive the distinction. In fact, if all hospitals performed similarly to “America’s 250 Best,” more than 160,000 lives could have been saved.
“We’re proud to recognize Adventist Health Glendale as one of ‘America’s 250 Best Hospitals for 2023,’” said Dr. Brad Bowman, chief medical officer and head of data science at Healthgrades. “As one of ‘America’s 250 Best Hospitals,’ Adventist Health Glendale consistently delivers better-than-expected outcomes for the patients in their community and is setting a high national standard for clinical excellence.”
“Our mission to inspire health, wholeness and hope in all those we serve is what drives us at Adventist Health Glendale,” Issai said. “This recognition is truly a reflection of our dedicated hospital staff members and our talented and committed physicians.”
