The Glendale High School varsity girls’ water polo team went 1-1 in a pair of nonleague games last week.
The Nitros routed visiting Pioneer High of Whittier, 24-5, last Wednesday before losing at Rancho Cucamonga, 18-7, the day after. Individual statistics were not reported to the Glendale News-Press.
Glendale (6-9 overall) will open Pacific League action by hosting Pasadena on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 3:30 p.m.
HOOVER
The Tornados have been idle since competing in the Los Altos tournament the weekend of Dec. 9-10. Hoover (3-6 overall) will open Pacific League action by hosting Burbank on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 3:30 p.m.
CRESCENTA VALLEY
The Falcons have been idle since competing in the Bonita Tournament in La Verne on Dec. 10.
CVHS (2-7 overall) will open Pacific League action at Muir High in Pasadena on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 3:30 p.m.
