First published in the Oct. 22 print issue of the Glendale News-Press.

Dignity Health – Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center (GMHHC) recently sponsored this year’s Glendale Police Department’s Breast Cancer Awareness Initiative.
To raise awareness about the disease, representatives from the Glendale Police and Fire Departments brought their pink wrapped cruiser, motorcycles and battalion trucks to the hospital.
About 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer and more than 43,000 are expected to die from the disease this year.
