A 37-year-old Glendale man and 36-year-old Glendale woman were arrested on suspicion of identity theft and possession of controlled-substance paraphernalia after being stopped at around 3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, in the 1100 block of Alameda Avenue. Officers reported finding a collapsible baton, window inflator jam, methamphetamine pipe and variety of bank cards, IDs and other forms of personal information belonging to others inside the man’s vehicle and in the woman’s possession, as well as Adderall pills at the man’s home. The man also was booked for carrying a collapsible baton and receiving stolen property, while the woman also was booked for violating a court order.

A 39-year-old Glendale man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a firearm in public, carrying a concealed weapon with a prior felony conviction, possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and possession of burglary tools after being pulled over at around 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, near the intersection of Chevy Chase Drive and Glendale Avenue. Officers reported finding four containers of methamphetamine and an unregistered and loaded handgun in the man’s possession.

A 26-year-old Santa Clarita man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm in public, possession of marijuana for sale and possession of a controlled substance while armed after officers reported finding him parked illegally in a handicap space outside a business in the 400 block of East Broadway at around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18. Officers said they found a loaded “ghost gun,” along with multiple bags of marijuana and Xanax pills, inside the man’s vehicle.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station
A resident in the 4900 block of Ramsdell Avenue in La Crescenta reported discovering that an unknown person had compromised one of her bank accounts and used it to make a fraudulent transaction on Tuesday, Aug. 9.

The driver’s side door lock to a Honda Ridgeline pickup truck parked in the 2700 block of Pineview Drive in La Crescenta was reported to have been damaged sometime between 6 a.m. Friday, July 25, and 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15.
