The Glendale Unified School District recently held a combined commencement ceremony for Allen F. Daily High School and Verdugo Academy seniors at the Glendale High School Auditorium.
Principal Lonny Root welcomed family and friends to the graduation and introduced speakers Martin Danilian of Allen F. Daily High School and Neko Ohnsman of Verdugo Academy, who addressed graduates and attendees.
Scholarships and awards were presented to recipients before Root led the salute to the graduates and GUSD Superintendent Vivian Ekchian presented the Class of 2022.
Before sending off graduates, GUSD Board of Education member Armina Gharpetian and GUSD Board of Education Vice President Jennifer Freemon conducted the conferring of diplomas and Assistant Principal Christian Molano and teacher Roxana Gonzalez awarded the students with their diplomas.
