A 28-year-old Glendale man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed weapon, owning ammunition when prohibited, identity theft, possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of narcotics for sale and invalid use of a handicap placard after being pulled over at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25. Officers reported discovering an unserialized loaded firearm, a variety of drugs in individual packages and a locked safe, credit cards belonging to other people and a handicap parking placard belonging to someone else.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station
An unknown person was reported to have burglarized and tried to steal a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck parked in the 2900 block of Stevens Street in La Crescenta between 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, and 6 a.m. Saturday, May 21. The intruder used a device to punch through a door lock to access the vehicle and had tampered with the truck’s ignition before abandoning it.

Two residents in the 4600 block of Ramsdell Avenue in La Crescenta reported discovering this month that an unknown person had compromised their identities to file a fraudulent unemployment insurance claim. One victim also reported that someone had altered the address information on her bank account.

Information was gathered from incident reports and press releases prepared by the Glendale Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Crescenta Valley Station.
