About 150 people gathered at the Davis Estate for the Glendale Educational Foundation’s “Stars Over Glendale” benefit on April 8.
Jennifer Berry served as emcee of the event, which included remarks from GEF Board President Robert Gordon, Superintendent Vivian Ekchian, GUSD Board of Education President Shant Sahakian, and Mychael Danna, who hosted the event with, wife Aparna Bharghava.
“Stars Over Glendale” honorees included Christie McCarthy (Glendale High School Class of 1984), Dr. Andrew Panossian (GHS Class of 1992), John Van Patten (Hoover High School Class of 1980) and Ron White (GHS Class of 1957). Meanwhile, Andre Manukyan (GHS Class of 2001) received the prestigious Premier Rose Diamond Award.
Vrejh Hovsepian served as “Stars of Glendale” event chair Alex Parajon was co-chair. Other committee members included Debbie Blute, Roberta Currier, Robert Gordon, Susan Hunt, Maria Sahakian, Pam Sorem and Joylene Wagner. Jennifer Cano serves as GEF’s executive director.
Pacific BMW and Disney were the event’s premier sponsors.
The foundation raised $75,000 for GUSD, and the campaign remains open through next week for donations at glened.org/programs/.
