YMCA Holds Open House, 65th Anniversary Celebration

For those wondering if they’re strong swimmers, whether their child would be interested in basketball or soccer, and/or needing to explore local preschool options, the YMCA of the Foothills is hosting their Open House and 65th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, Jan. 7, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., where anyone in the community can “Try the Y.”
All are welcome to bring their family and friends to explore the three branches of the YMCA of the Foothills — Crescenta Cañada Family YMCA, Verdugo Hills Family YMCA and Crescenta Valley Family YMCA. Those who join the Y during Open House can do so at a special rate of $20.23. Each location will offer facility tours, giveaways, chances to meet the team, and a variety of demonstrations, classes and activities.
The YMCA’s full-body fitness facilities will be available to the public, including access to our new, cutting-edge cardio equipment. There will also be 15-minute demonstrations for many of our programs, including basketball, gymnastics, pilates reformer classes and small group training, as well as balance, arthritis and strength demos. You can even take a swim at our Crescenta-Cañada and Verdugo Hills locations.
