Mikal Vega – Outreach Event to Veterans and First Responders

The Japanese Tea House and Friendship Garden, located in Brand Park, Glendale will offer its first outreach event to veterans and first responders on Sunday Aug. 21st from 11 am to 1 pm. The guest speaker will be Mikal Vega, a former Navy SEAL with 22 years of service.  After retiring from the Navy, Mikal Vega founded Vital Warrior.org which is dedicated to serving veterans and first responders to help them relieve the stressors of service they experienced on the battlefield and in the daily life of a first responder.

Mr. Vega will speak about his life and how he found that the practice of Kundalini yoga was the most effective method he has found which can relieve the negative effects that are caused by extreme stress.

Participants will have the opportunity to practice some basic yoga postures, breathing and meditation exercises.  The event will take place outdoors in the Japanese garden.

The event is FREE but pre-registration is required by emailing: mpbelzer@gmail.com
