Give-Mentor-Love Fundraiser Is Oct. 1

First published in the Sept. 22 print issue of the Pasadena Outlook.

The Give-Mentor-Love Foundation (GML) will host its annual fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 1, in support of L.A. County children rescued from the sex trade and exploitation, and in-crisis youth and young adults.
This year’s event — “IMAGINE… A World of Fear Turned into a World of Wonder!” — will take place in a whimsical and wondrous setting complete with cocktail reception, sit-down dinner, DJ and dancing. The evening will also feature silent and live auctions, a Giving Tree and raffles to support GML’s ongoing efforts.
GML is a layer of the healing process for the victims they serve, partnering with L.A. County Specialized Bureau for Commercial Sexual Exploited Children (CSEC), L.A. County Division ZOE International, Learning Works Charter School and CSEC foster group homes. They give immediate and continued support of basic needs and financial assistance; they mentor youth rescued and in-crisis to help them rediscover their self-worth; and they love these victims and youth unconditionally so they can move beyond the trauma they have suffered and thrive.
“Please help us support these children by attending or sponsoring our annual fundraiser. Your support could mean the difference between life and death to one of these victims,” said Donna Pierson, founder and chairperson of GML.
