Lawrence “Larry” Stoliker
July 2, 1932 – Dec. 20, 2023
Larry Stoliker passed away peacefully at his residence in Fair Oaks, CA on De. 20, 2023. Born in Los Angeles, he and his twin brother were adopted at birth by Harry and Jeanette Stoliker. Larry was a long-time resident of Glendale, La Canada, and his home in Placerville which was his paradise.
In Los Angeles, after Elementary school, Larry attended Washington and Carmel High Schools majoring in machinery. He attended Pierce College, studying animal husbandry, before serving in the US Army for two years. He worked in various machine shops, until he accepted a job with the IATSE Local33 as a carpenter at CBS. 2 years later he was promoted to supervisor and remained there for 19 years. He then moved onto Krofft Studios, where he stayed until he accepted a position as Head Production Carpenter out of New York, traveling with Broadway plays, running a stage crew and engineering set production. In retirement, Larry tinkered at home building automated figures and models. He spent a lot of time at his home in Placerville perfecting his showplace. He was a history buff and loved finding historical treasures. He enjoyed bowling, garage sales, flea markets, gun shows, and watching sports.
Preceded in death by his wife of 38 years Doris Stoliker, his dog Maty, his ex-wife Donna Stoliker, and his twin brother Robert Stoliker. He is survived by his daughters Debbie, Diana (Ken), and Denise (Michael), as well as stepsons Lee (Jeannie), Brian (Mindy), Bart (Dino). He was an amazing grandfather to 8 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Kyle, Brandon, Shannon, Devon, Katie, Carlee, and Kailee, and great grandchildren, Olevia, Carter, Casey, Lilliana, Ethan, Xyla, and Paige.
Larry made friends wherever he would go. He was always entertaining with a good joke. He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all.
Mass and Memorial Service will be held March 16, 2024 at 10:00am.
