Helen McKernan (Lile) passed from this life peacefully on August 21, 2022, surrounded by her children Donna Madsen, Jerry Lile and Maggie Edwards. Helen is also survived by her sister Sr. Rita Josephine, SNJM, her grandson Ryan Madsen, and sister-in-law Marilyn McKernan. Helen was preceded in death by her father and mother Hugh and Marie McKernan, her brothers Tom, Dan, Bill, and Robert, her sisters Rita Schall, Margaret, Loretta Rausin, and Sr. Emily Marie, SNJM, and sisters-in-law LaDonna and Marianne.
Helen will always be remembered for her dedication to family, love of laughter, considerate nature, life-long work ethic, and her many years of service to Holy Family Parish and schools. A memorial service will be held at Holy Family Church in Glendale on October 15, 2022, beginning at 9:30 a.m., with a reception at Holy Family grade school auditorium immediately following. Holy Family Church is located at 209 E. Lomita Ave., Glendale, California.
