Dorene Hall, age 77, returned to our Lord Monday, March 14, 2022. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on June 15, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Jeanne Gervais and eldest sister to Bob and Ray Gervais.
She grew up in Laguna Beach, California, and graduated from Orange Coast College, where she earned many academic and service awards. Dorene always loved the beach and that is where she met the love of her life, Ron Hall. The two were married on May 1, 1965, and enjoyed 57 years in marriage together, raising their three daughters — Renee, Theresa, and Kristine, traveling the globe, being active community members, and most well known for making great food and working side by side running their infamous Crispy Deli for 17 years in Glendale.
Dorene’s biggest joy was spending time with family. When she wasn’t working hard at the Deli, she loved to visit her girls and grandchildren, garden, travel, and join Ron on his Hot Rod runs.
Dorene, was an amazing and inspiring lady with a kind, generous heart, great smile, infectious laugh, full of life personality, who positively touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a devoted wife, mother, and doting grandmother to her favorite grandchildren, Jordan and Lola. She was appreciated by everyone who knew her and her presence will be greatly missed.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9, at Shepherd of the Valley Church, Central Point, Oregon, at 11 a.m., with Celebration of Life reception to follow in the church hall. All who knew Dorene are welcome to join and celebrate her life.
