Christopher Nickolas Noyes

Christopher Nickolas Noyes of Glendale passed away on August 27, 2022. Born in Long Beach, California at Memorial Hospital on October 28, 1983, he was a beautiful baby and happy child. As a young boy he loved “The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, Goosebump books and “Ghostbusters”. He was a very kind and considerate young man to everyone. Christopher loved to skateboard, play video games, basketball, go to the beach, eat all kinds of foods and chocolate, watch movies and play jokes on people. He had a wonderful sense of humor from the time he was 3 years old.

Christopher attended Glenoaks Elementary School in Glendale, and Palm Crest Elementary School in La Canada, where his father was then ‘principal’ of the school. He then went to La Canada Jr. High. Chris was a graduate of Saint Francis High School in La Canada, class of 2002 and was an excellent student. Everywhere he went he made friends. While working days and going to school at night, Christopher graduated from Pasadena City College in 2008.

Christopher was Baptized and raised at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral. He served as an altar boy starting at the age of 7 and continued until he was 17. He was very devoted to the church and to his spiritual Father, the Very Reverend John S. Bakas.

At the age of 15 ½, Christopher went to work for his grandfather Nickolas Edwards at Queen Beach Printers, Inc. in Long Beach. He worked for the company for more than 17 years.

Our hearts are broken. Christopher had many difficult roads in his life that he tried hard to deal with, as did we. But sometimes you just cannot stop things from happening. God finally called him home. We know in our hearts he will rest among the Saints in paradise with our loved ones who have gone before and welcomed him with open arms. May God have mercy and grant him eternal peace where there is no more pain and suffering.

Christopher is survived by his loving parents, Brent and Virginia Noyes, sisters Alexis and Kellie, his godmother and aunt Carole Edwards (James Noonan), godfather Anthony Belli, his uncle Joseph R. Noyes, cousins Matthew Apostle (Michelle), Joseph Noyes (Nicholle), Kathryn Noyes Puckett (Brett), Zachary Prineas and so many more. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Nickolas and Pamela Edwards of Long Beach and Joseph and Doris Noyes of Van Nuys. Everyone who knew him enjoyed his stories and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral service on Monday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1324 So. Normandie Ave. Los Angeles. Luncheon to follow.
