Glendale Arts Summer Soiree to Be Held Under a Thousand Stars

Glendale Arts will host its Summer Soiree “Under A Thousand Stars” on July 27 from 7-10 p.m. at ace/121 Gallery and will feature food, drinks, a silent auction of local and international artwork, and a program highlighting the organization’s initiatives.

“We are excited to bring supporters and community, business, and industry leaders together for a night that salutes the transformative power of the arts,” said Glendale Arts board Chair Marci DeSousa. “The Summer Soiree will not only showcase the heart and soul that drives Glendale Arts’ mission, but will also celebrate what distinguishes GA as a unique nonprofit with local roots, regional impact and a global footprint.”

The inspirational evening will comprise epicurean delights, artful mixology, a silent auction featuring original works of art by emerging and renowned artists from the Los Angeles area and beyond.

Greg and Tish Laemmle of Laemmle Theatres will receive The Aura, Glendale Arts’ new award honoring arts supporters. The Laemmles will be honored in recognition of their unparalleled legacy of dedication to independent filmmakers and the art of storytelling on the screen.

Proceeds benefit Glendale Arts, a nonprofit promoting creativity and community through the arts. Funds raised will support the organization’s mission to cultivate year-round opportunities for artists and audiences to convene around mutually enriching experiences that promote creativity, foster meaningful connections, and build community through the performing, cinematic, and visual arts mediums.

Early bird tickets are $121 through July 8, then $150 thereafter. Tickets can be found at bit.ly/GASummerSoiree24.

Total Wine & More is the event’s wine sponsor with additional support from YMCA Glendale. Modern Illumination Productions will be in charge of the event’s lighting and sound.

Glendale Arts, founded in 2008, organizes events like the Glendale International Film Festival and operates ace/121 Gallery. More information can be found at GlendaleArts.org.
