The Crescenta Valley High School varsity boys’ volleyball team swept host Pasadena, 25-12, 25-15, 25-20, in a Pacific League match on Tuesday.
Senior Drew Puttler racked up 16 assists, three digs, two aces, two kills and one block while junior Matt Hong registered 10 assists and four digs. Junior Logan Freemon tallied nine kills, two assists, one ace, one block and one dig while senior Jason Nelson had seven kills, one ace and one assist.
Sophomore Colin Walley finished with four kills, two blocks and one dig, junior Mason Park produced four kills and two digs, and senior Will Allen had five aces, three kills and one dig. Junior Ben Hart recorded three kills, one block and one dig, junior Joshua Sohn posted three kills and two digs, and senior Henry Guske had three kills and one dig. Senior Will Chin collected two kills while senior Dylan Hsu had four digs and three assists. Senior Jonathan Won was credited with three assists while senior David Won had one ace and one dig.
The Falcons previously swept visiting Glendale in a league match, 25-15, 25-21, 26-24. Hong racked up 18 assists, four digs, two kills and one ace, Puttler finished with 15 assists, three blocks, two digs and one kill, and Freemon registered 13 kills, four aces, two digs and one block. Allen tallied nine kills and five digs while Nelson had six kills, five digs, three aces and two blocks. Chin recorded three kills, three digs and two blocks while Walley produced three kills and one block. Hart posted two kills and one block while Park collected two kills. Hsu had five digs, three aces and one assist, Guske made two digs and junior Jackson Roehr had one dig.
First-place CVHS (19-7 overall, 7-0 in league) will visit Burbank for a league matchup on Tuesday, April 18, at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Burroughs High of Burbank for its regular-season finale on April 20.
