Falcons Lose, Nitros Win Nonleague Games

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team lost at
Newport Harbor High in Newport Beach, 14-6, in a nonleague game last Saturday.
Sophomore Camden Ballard recorded three goals, sophomore Sophia Lima finished with one goal and one assist, and senior captains Brianne Ballard and
Sophia Kachkeran each scored once.
The Falcons were previously edged by visiting Chaminade High of West Hills in over-
time, 13-12, in a nonleague encounter.
CVHS (9-5 overall) will visit Canyon High in Anaheim for a nonleague game today at noon before opening Pacific League action against visiting La Cañada on April 14.


GLENDALE

The Nitros routed host Tustin, 15-2, in a nonleague game on Tuesday. Glendale previously lost a nonleague game at Mira Costa High in Manhattan Beach, 16-5. Individual statistics were not reported to the Glendale News-Press by the GHS coaching staff.
The Nitros (4-9 overall) will visit La Cañada for its Pacific League opener on Wednesday, April 12, at 4:30 p.m. before visiting Royal High in Simi Valley on April 14.
