The Glendale High School varsity girls’ water polo team lost its nonleague regular-season opener against visiting Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy of La Cañada Flintridge, 21-2, last Saturday, as sophomores Leora Freeman and Armine Zelveyan each scored once.
The Nitros (0-1 overall) will host Mark Keppel High of Alhambra in a nonleague game on Monday, Nov. 28, at 3:30 p.m.
HOOVER
The Tornados lost their second game in as many days with a narrow nonleague setback at Pasadena Poly, 15-14, last Thursday. Individual statistics were not reported to the Glendale News-Press.
Hoover (1-2 overall) will visit Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy of La Cañada Flintridge on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 3:30 p.m.

The Falcons have been idle since losing their nonleague season-opener against visiting Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy of La Cañada Flintridge, 12-5, last week. CVHS (0-1 overall) will compete in the Mistletoe Classic on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2-3.
