Falcons Edge Arcadia in Season Finale

The Crescenta Valley High School varsity football team edged host Arcadia, 21-20, in its Pacific-Upper League and regular-season finale last Friday.
Senior Shade Schaefer made five catches for 63 yards, rushed for 21 yards and a touchdown on six carries, and registered six tackles. Junior Cristian Flores rushed for a team-high 121 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.
Meanwhile, junior Jacob Deno completed 10-of-17 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown. Senior Calix Jamerson made a pair of catches for 29 yards and had seven tackles. Junior Bjorn Hermansen made a pair of receptions for 22 yards, rushed for 5 yards on one carry and had two tackles, while senior kicker Miles Vallejo went 3-for-3 in PAT attempts.
Senior Tyler Oliver racked up a team-high eight tackles and blocked a field goal, senior Tyler Morales registered six tackles and a sack, and seniors Jason Nelson and Zach Dunlavey each finished with four tackles. Senior Michael Balian, senior Jordan Towns IV, junior Lukas Newman and sophomore Jesse Flores each made a pair of tackles, while senior Nathaniel Deleon, senior Jose Cisneros Jr., junior Jackson Roehr and junior Jake Dunlavey each had one tackle.
The Falcons finished the season tied for fifth in the league standings with Arcadia, as each posted a 1-4 record (2-8 overall).
