Investigators are trying to identify a man believed to have stolen a credit card from a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Olmsted Drive sometime on Sunday, July 10. Police said the man was seen trying open vehicle doors in a subterranean parking garage in the 1300 block of Orange Grove Avenue at around 2 p.m. that day, and was later seen fraudulently using the stolen credit card at a smoke shop in the 4600 block of San Fernando Road at around 3 p.m. He was described as a 35-45-year-old white man with an average build, with tattoos on his upper arms and driving a white Dodge pickup truck.

A 37-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with intent to commit rape after allegedly attacking a man in a Carr Park bathroom at around 9:45 a.m. Monday, July 18. Officers said they arrested the man at a bus stop after he returned to the area at around 1 p.m. that day and that he was carrying a backpack full of condoms. The man was also booked for a parole violation.

A 32-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of arson after a line of trees along the 1300 block of Air Way were set ablaze at around 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 20. Officers said the man was reported by a witness to have set and fueled the fire, and that they needed to use a taser when taking him into custody.

A 35-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of burglary after officers responded to a report of a disturbance at Adventist Health Glendale at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19. Officers said the man was captured on security camera footage burglarizing a medical office in the 400 block of Colorado Street at around 9 p.m. the previous day, when he fell through ceiling tiles into a room and left the building.

A 30-year-old La Puente man and a 32-year-old transient woman were arrested at around 1 a.m. Monday, July 11, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of unlawful paraphernalia after allegedly walking along the curb lane against a red hand at the intersection of Colorado Street and Verdugo Road. Officers said the man was in possession of methamphetamine, water bong and a backpack with a variety of burglary tools, and that he was also booked for possession of burglary tools and three outstanding warrants. Officers said the woman had a Social Security card for someone else, methamphetamine and a pipe, and that she was also booked for identity theft.

A 30-year-old Glendale man was arrested on suspicion of identity theft, possession of burglary tools and possession of a controlled substance after officers found him allegedly parked in a no-parking zone in a parking structure in the 4600 block of San Fernando Road at around 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 5. Officers reported finding an arrow key, two IDs for other people and a bag of methamphetamine in the man’s vehicle.
