Brand Library Hosts Abstract Art Exhibition

First published in the July 16 print issue of the Glendale News-Press.

Featuring an impressive roster of 52 Los Angeles-based abstract artists, “Abstract Los Angeles: Four Generations” attempts to document a line of inheritance passing from parent to child, teacher to student, older to younger.
Assembled by Laddie John Dill, Katie Kirk and Alain Rogier, the exhibition invites viewers to explore the dialogue between abstract artists over a period that spans roughly 80 years. Abstract art thrives in Los Angeles — whether minimal, geometric, gestural or material, there is always someone making abstractions.
