The Crescenta Valley High School varsity boys’ tennis team was ousted from the CIF-SS Division II playoffs after falling at Valencia, 14-4, in a first-round match on Wednesday.
The Falcons’ No. 1 doubles team of senior David Avakyan and junior Ryan Lee collected a pair of victories, 7-5, 6-4. Meanwhile, the No. 2 tandem of seniors Soomin “Ben” Yeom and David Kim won one set, 6-0, and the No. 3 duo of seniors Chiwoon “Peter” Lee and Eric Chang tallied one set victory, 6-3.
The Falcons finished the season third in the Pacific League standings with a 6-6 record (7-10 overall).
