A 42-year-old Glendale man was arrested at a home in the 1000 block of Columbus Avenue at around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, on an outstanding felony arrest warrant. He also was booked for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance while armed, owning ammunition when prohibited and violation of post-release community supervision, after officers reported finding a loaded unregistered gun and a bag of methamphetamine in his vehicle.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station

Numerous pieces of jewelry and 30 designer handbags were reported stolen from a home in the 3100 block of Prospect Avenue that was burglarized sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday, April 28. The intruder used some sort of tool to pry open a window to break into the home.


Two unidentified women were seen shoplifting makeup from a store in the 3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta at 8:06 a.m. Monday, April 25. One was described as a white woman in her 30s with a thin build and blonde shoulder-length hair. The second was described as a white woman in her 60s. They were seen driving away in a silver Honda vehicle.


A resident in the 4300 block of Ocean View Boulevard in Montrose reported that an unknown person slashed the tire and left scratch marks on the hood of his Scion xB hatchback sometime between 5 p.m. Monday, April 25, and 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 26.
