Nitros, Falcons Drop Season Openers

The Glendale High School varsity boys’ volleyball team lost its season opener at Monrovia in three sets, 26-24, 17-25, 13-15, in a nonleague match on Monday. Glendale also recently dropped a nonleague match at Burbank Providence in three sets on Thursday, Feb. 24; individual statistics and set results were unavailable by the Glendale News-Press’ deadline.

The Nitros (0-2 overall) are set to open Pacific League play.


The Falcons lost their nonleague season opener at St. Francis of La Cañada Flintridge in three sets, 19-25, 19-25, 24-26, on Wednesday. No individual statistics were reported to the Glendale News-Press.

Crescenta Valley (0-1 overall record) is scheduled to visit South Pasadena for a nonleague match on Tuesday, March 1, at 6 p.m.
